Crazy Times

I've had that song in my head lately, but I doubt anyone knows what I'm talking about. Anyway...

Things have been busy over the past couple weeks. Preparing for the new season, recruiting quizzers, and getting both Bible Quiz and JBQ kicked off has kept me hopping. I also, believe it or not, have actual work to do so I can do crazy things like pay my mortgage and buy groceries. So, here are a few quick items for this week. Next week, I'll be back with a post about Master Schedules.
  • NYM posted the videos from National Finals. Check them out.
  • The Bible Quiz website added some tournament information.
  • NYM has made training videos available on the right hand side of this page. Topics include running practice, contesting, teaching quizzers to study, and tips for the rules.
  • If your buzzer boxes need replacement or repair, go to the best available source. I had to order some replacement parts this week myself for a couple of our boxes.
  • I don't have practice sets available for sale this year, but Joey does. Order his questions. I am available to write for tournaments (or, if you're willing to pay obscene amounts of money, I could write some sets for your team).
  • Let me get an early plug in for the Missouri Classic this December. Once again, Greg House is writing the A-league sets, and they will likely be the cleanest questions you'll hear all year. You won't be sorry.
Finally, I am thinking about some new ways to communicate. One idea I have is to hold a training seminar via Skype that would be open for anyone. That way, people could submit questions as we go, and I could cover some elements that would be useful. Let me know if this is something that would be interesting to you.
